Trainings (Draft)

Trainings are training and assistance intervention provided bilaterally by a state or by a multilateral security actor like the European Union to the security or defence forces of another state. The main global source of information about Training is provided by the US in the joint Department of State and Department of Defence report, "Foreign Military Training and DoD Engagement Activities of Interest", published annually. As at 2023, information on the trainings provided to militaries by, for example, EU military training missions is not yet provided in a mandatory structured form.


Training: Summary of claim attributes

The table below is a draft summarising the following dimensions of a proposed Training claim type:

 - Attribute label: a human readable label for the attribute
 - Attribute name: a unique machine-readable name for the attribute, used during data capture
 - Status: whether the attribute is optional or required in a claim
 - Data type: the sort of data that can be entered into the field
 - Conformed name: a standardized name that simplifies attribute use in SFM databases
