What are persons?

Persons are natural persons who are affiliated with, or hold positions of command over a specific unit at a particular point in time.

Data about persons are captures in three claim types:

  • Person Identity: this claim type records basic information about a person’s identity such as their name, aliases and the country in whose security forces they serve.

  • Person Posting: data about a person’s career in the security forces, including the units to which they’ve been posted, their roles in those units, ranks and titles obtains.

  • Person Extra Data: this claim type enables the capture of additional biographical details about the person, such as their date of birth or death, their social media accounts, and media that provide information about how the person looks and sounds.
