Overview: Persons

What are persons?

A person` is a human being who existed at some point in time. The Monitor structures data on persons affiliated with or holding positions (a Posting) in any specific Unit of security forces at a particular point in time.

Data about persons are captured in two claim types:

• Person: this claim type records basic information about a person’s identity such as their name, aliases and the country in whose security forces they serve.

• Posting: data about a person’s career in the security forces, including the units to which they’ve been posted, their roles in those units, ranks and titles obtains.
